City awards $9,800 bid to clean 10 properties

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The City of Vicksburg Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved the bid made by Easygreen Landscaping and Powerwashing, LLC for the landscaping and debris removal of 10 properties in the amount of $9,800.

The bids to clean the 10 properties was submitted to the Board on Tuesday, Aug. 25. Easygreen Landscaping and Powerwashing, LLC and Grass Champions, LLC, were the only two companies to submit bids on the properties. Easygreen was the lowest bider at $9,800 beating out Grass Champions’ proposal of $15,500.

The properties were separated into three groups. The properties in Group 1 only required securing and boarding up. The properties in the other two groups need grass cutting and the clearing of the debris.

Group 1-

416 Zollinger Hill, PPIN 020424 at $1,000

3608 Hall’s Ferry Road, PPIN 011766 at $600

The Board unanimously voted to approve the recommendation made by Vicksburg’s Community Development Director Jeff Richardson at the regular meeting held Monday, Sept. 21.
