Vicksburg Junior High School football team defeated Madison Middle School 16-6 on Tuesday.

The Gators scored from two long runs in the win. Messiah Magee captured a 25-yard touchdown run while Antwuan Chiplin broke out on a 55-yard touchdown run.

Defensively, VJHS is only allowing three points per game as Brandon Smith finished Tuesday with six tackles and Rico Thomas grabbed four. Smith had a big fourth down stop which gave the Gators the ball back to run out the clock.

VJHS is now 2-0 and they will host Clinton on Tuesday.
