Police, sheriff’s office arrest three in separate drug cases

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — A monthlong investigation into methamphetamine sales and a separate, unrelated traffic stop on I-20 West led to the arrests of three people on drug charges in Vicksburg, said Lt. Donnie Heggins of the city’s Narcotics and K-9 Divisions.
Both cases were a joint effort by the Vicksburg Police Department and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
Monthlong investigation leads to arrest

Narcotics investigators with the Vicksburg Police Department arrested 47-year-old Dandri Jacque Brown of Vicksburg on September 2 in connection with the distribution of crystal methamphetamine.
During the investigation, police and Warren County narcotics investigators conducted undercover operations that linked Brown to drug sales inside the city.
Brown was arrested at 910 Bowman St. after the execution of a search and arrest warrant. Brown was staying with a relative at the time. He was charged with three counts of sale of methamphetamine.
Brown, who is currently on probation with the Mississippi Department of Corrections, was arraigned in Vicksburg Municipal Court and received a $90,000 bond. A hold was placed on him by MDOC.
Traffic stop leads to two drug arrests

On August 11, narcotics investigators from Vicksburg Police and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on I-20 West at Halls Ferry Road for a traffic violation. A search of the vehicle uncovered crystal methamphetamine and fentanyl.
The driver, Daniel Pace, 43, of Terry, was charged with possession of fentanyl. The passenger, Mallory Tyson, 36, of Flora, was charged with possession of methamphetamine.
Both are on probation with MDOC. They were arraigned in Vicksburg Municipal Court, where Pace received a $50,000 bond and Tyson a $40,000 bond. Holds were placed on both by MDOC.
