VPD recovers vehicle stolen overnight

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — A vehicle that was stolen overnight while the owner was working, has been recovered by the Vicksburg Police Department.

At around 10 p.m. Sunday night, a gray SUV was stolen from the parking lot in front of Medical Associates. The vehicle’s owner was working inside the building at the time.

Vicksburg Police and Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies were alerted to the theft and, overnight, stopped several vehicles matching that description in an attempt to recover the vehicle.

At around 9 a.m. this morning, Vicksburg police officer Hunter Anderson spotted the vehicle parked in a wooded area at the rear of a mobile home park near Halls Ferry. The vehicle was returned to it’s owner.
