Warren County man arrested on bicycle with stolen utility wire
A Warren County man was arrested after being caught riding a bicycle with freshly cut utility wire. Michael Joseph Breland, 22, faces charges of injuring or destroying telecommunications wires following a traffic stop on Gibson Road.

A Warren County man has been arrested after authorities say he was caught carrying freshly cut utility wire on a bicycle.
Michael Joseph Breland, 22, was charged with injuring or destroying telecommunications wires.
According to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Daniel Thomas stopped Breland on July 19 while he was riding a repainted bicycle on Gibson Road near Jefferson Lane. Investigators said Breland was carrying freshly cut utility wire on the bicycle at the time of the stop.
Breland appeared before Justice Court Judge Randy Lewis, who set his bond at $2,000. He has since been released after posting bond.
Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said his office is actively working with other law enforcement agencies, as well as officials in neighboring states, to investigate where stolen utility wire is being sold. Pace said most of the stolen wire is believed to be sold in Louisiana and Arkansas.
