42-year-old man charged with murder in Vicksburg
A 42-year-old man, Christopher Scott Smith, has been charged with murder following the stabbing death of 38-year-old Christopher Anderson in Vicksburg. Smith’s bond was set at $150,000, and the investigation is ongoing.

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) —
A 42-year-old man has been charged with murder in connection with the stabbing death of 38-year-old Christopher Anderson in Vicksburg.
The Vicksburg Police Department identified the suspect as Christopher Scott Smith. Smith was arrested and charged with murder in connection with Anderson’s death.
Anderson was found dead Aug. 21 near the fence line in the area of the Interstate 20 West ramp to U.S. Highway 61 South. Police said Anderson appeared to have suffered a stab wound.
Smith appeared in court Monday before Judge Allen Derivaux, who set his bond at $150,000.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. Police said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
