Warren County woman pleads guilty to child neglect charge

Morgan Hollowell

Morgan Hollowell entered the plea Tuesday before Judge James Chaney. She was represented by defense attorney Lee Thames, while Assistant District Attorney Branan Southerland represented the state.

According to court testimony, Hollowell was accused of using drugs in the presence of a child. Both Hollowell and the child tested positive for methamphetamine.

Lt. Stacy Rollison of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case that led to Hollowell’s arrest.

Chaney scheduled sentencing for April 17. Hollowell faces a maximum sentence of five years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
