VPD makes more arrests in Waltersville Estates shooting
Three individuals, including two 15-year-olds, have been arrested in connection with a shooting at Waltersville Estates in Vicksburg, which left three people injured. The investigation by the Vicksburg Police Department is ongoing.
Three people, including two 15-year-olds, have been arrested in connection with an Aug. 18 shooting at the Waltersville Estates apartment complex that left three people suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the Vicksburg Police Department.
Davonte Thigpen Jr., 15, who was one of the three people wounded in the shooting, was arrested and charged as an adult with aggravated assault. Thigpen appeared in court Aug. 21 and received a $25,000 bond.
Jon Michael Clay, 18, was also arrested in connection with the shooting and charged with aggravated assault and conspiracy. Clay appeared in court Sept. 3 and received a $30,000 bond.
Anthony Nash, 15, who also suffered a gunshot wound during the incident, was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of shooting into an occupied vehicle.
Nash appeared in court Thursday, Sept. 17, and received a $70,000 bond.
The Vicksburg Police Department said the investigation remains active and ongoing. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
