Bond set at $150,000 for Warren County man accused of attacking parents
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) —
A $150,000 bond has been set for Justin Knight, who is accused of attacking his parents Tuesday morning at their home in Warren County.
During an initial appearance Wednesday, Judge Walter Armstrong set Knight’s bond at $50,000 for an aggravated domestic violence charge involving his mother and $100,000 for an aggravated domestic violence charge involving his father.
During the hearing, Dusty Keyes of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office testified that Knight allegedly held a knife to his mother’s neck. When she moved away, she suffered a laceration to her throat, Keyes said.
Keyes also testified that Knight’s father suffered a stab wound to his upper side and an injury to his hand while attempting to defend his wife.
According to court testimony, Knight allegedly stated, “This was a test,” following the incident. Testimony also revealed that Knight and his parents all lived together at the home on Windy Lake Drive where the attack occurred.
Deputies with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office arrested Knight on Tuesday morning.
During Wednesday’s hearing, District Attorney Ricky Smith requested that Judge Armstrong issue a no-contact order prohibiting Knight from contacting the victims. The request was granted.
Following the hearing, Knight was returned to the custody of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
