A Warren County man was arrested Tuesday after two people were injured in an attack at a residence on Windy Lake Drive, according to the Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace.

Authorities said a 66-year-old man suffered a stab wound to his side and an injury to his hand, while a 74-year-old woman sustained a superficial laceration to her throat. The male was eventually airlifted to UMMC.

The incident was reported shortly after 9 a.m. Tuesday when a 911 call alerted authorities to an attack at a home in the 1100 block of Windy Lake Drive. The victims and the suspect are relatives and all live in the same home.

Chief Deputy Bobby Stewart, Sgt. Cordell Watkins and Deputy Patrick Brown responded to the scene. Investigators recovered a pocket knife that is believed to have been used in the attack.

The 74-year-old woman was treated at the scene, while the 66-year-old man was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office took 38-year-old Justin Eric Knight into custody and charged him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The incident remains under investigation.
