10 unlocked vehicles burglarized at Pecan Ridge Apartments; two firearms stolen
Ten unlocked vehicles were burglarized at Pecan Ridge Apartments in Vicksburg, resulting in the theft of loose change and two firearms. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is investigating and urges residents to secure their vehicles.
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) —
10 unlocked vehicles were burglarized overnight at Pecan Ridge in Warren County, according to Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace.
Pace said every vehicle that was entered had been left unlocked.
Most of the stolen property consisted of loose change taken from vehicle consoles, but the Warren County Sheriff’s Office reported that two firearms were also stolen.
Deputies began taking reports shortly after daylight Saturday morning. Investigator Daniel Thomas is leading the investigation.
Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage as they work to identify those responsible.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is urging residents to lock their vehicle doors and secure valuables, particularly firearms.
