VSO River Belles Earn Finalist Spot at Gulf Coast Classic

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The VSO Rec Plus Team River Belles 17/18 earned their first tournament finalist finish over the weekend at the Gulf Coast Classic soccer tournament.

The River Belles went 1-1-1 in pool play to reach the finals of their bracket. They opened with a 3-2 loss to IFC 16/17 before bouncing back with a dominant 10-0 win over GSC 17. They closed out with a 2-2 draw against HFC to secure their finalist position.

Team members include Ryleigh Atwood, Marley Williams, Collins Cook, Anna Kate Tarver, Tinley Prince, Henley Hardy, Adeline Henry, Kaidyn Lynn, Everly Atwood, Bayley Stache and Harmony Brown. Natalie Bennett was not pictured.

The River Belles are led by head coach Rebecca Sigh and assistant coach Kenneth Prince.
