Warren Central earns multiple honors at cheer camp

The Warren Central Varsity Basketball Cheer team returned home with multiple individual and team honors after attending the Urban Cheerleading Experience camp at Grambling State University from June 21-24.

Kayden Anderson captured first place in the camp’s Jump Off contest, earning recognition for having the best jumps among all campers. Armanni Smith was presented with the “Pin It Forward Award” for demonstrating outstanding leadership, kindness, spirit and motivation throughout the camp.

Four Warren Central cheerleaders also earned All-American honors. Those selected were Kayden Anderson, Alyssa Banks, Dejonae Curtis and Armanni Smith.

As a team, Warren Central received Superior ribbons for its U-Time Performance and Game Day Performance. The squad also earned an Excellent ribbon for its Sideline Performance.

The Warren Central Varsity Basketball Cheer team is coached by Erica Wilson.
