Vicksburg High varsity, ninth-grade cheerleaders earn honors at UCA Camp

Vicksburg High Cheer 2026

The Vicksburg High School varsity football cheerleading squad brought home top honors from the UCA Cheer Camp held earlier this week at Mississippi State University, highlighted by a first-place finish in the Medium Varsity Spirit Routine competition.

Coached by Ariel Stokes, the Gators claimed first place overall in the Spirit Routine in the Medium Varsity category while also earning a third-place finish in the Camp Routine competition. Varsity All Americans were Amiyah Hall, Raylyn Parson, Rihanna Ringo and Xaria Williams.

The ninth-grade cheerleading squad also turned in a strong performance at the camp, placing third in the Spirit Cheer competition and fourth in the Camp Routine. The team was also awarded the 2026 Traditional Leadership Plaque, recognizing its leadership, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the week. 9th Grade All Americans were Gabrielle Sims & Kristyana Walton.

The multiple awards capped off a successful week for Vicksburg High’s cheer program as both the varsity and ninth-grade squads were recognized for their performances and school spirit at one of the state’s premier summer cheer camps.
