Millsaps release basketball schedule

JACKSON, Miss.(Millsaps Athletics) – The Millsaps men’s basketball team has announced their 2025-26 schedule on Tuesday. The Majors will play 12 home games in the electrifying Hangar Dome as well as 13 regular-season away or neutral contests, while also facing seven conference opponents twice each.

The Millsaps men’s basketball team will begin the preseason with an exhibition game against NCAA Division I foe Stephen F. Austin on Nov. 3 in Nacogdoches, Texas.

The Majors will then focus on the Hawks Classic, where they will face LaGrange College (Nov. 14) and Huntingdon College (Nov. 15) at the Catherine Dixon Roland Arena in Montgomery, Ala. 

After returning to Jackson, the team will face Belhaven University (Nov. 18) in their home opener. A pair of additional home matches will then feature MUW on Nov. 21 and Austin College on Nov. 24.

The Majors will then embark on a four-game road swing, facing the University of the Ozarks (Nov. 30), Belhaven University (Dec. 2), Austin College (Dec. 17) and LeTourneau University (Dec. 18).

Just before the New Year the Majors will return home to take on Huntingdon College on Dec. 28 and the University of the Ozarks on Dec. 30. Huntingdon will also face Ozarks inside the Hangar Dome on Dec. 29.

Millsaps will open 2026 and the Southern Athletic Association calendar against Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn., on Jan. 3.

The Majors will later prioritize their focus on Centre College on Jan. 9 in Danville, Ky., and then return to the Volunteer State to challenge Sewanee on Jan. 11.

Conference newcomers Southwestern University (Jan. 16) and Trinity University (Jan. 18) begin the first of four straight conference contests inside the Hangar Dome.

Millsaps welcomes Berry College (Jan. 23) and Oglethorpe University (Jan. 25) the following weekend for thrilling home matchups.

A four-game trip sees Millsaps travel to the Peach State to face Berry on Jan. 30 and Oglethorpe on Feb. 1. After a trip to Georgia, the Majors will go up against Southwestern University on Feb. 6 in Georgetown, Texas, and Trinity University on Feb. 8 in San Antonio, Texas.

The Majors will conclude their regular season at home with games against Centre College on Feb. 13, Sewanee on Feb. 15 and Rhodes College on Feb. 20.

The 2026 SAA Men’s Basketball Championship features the top six qualifying teams in the league standings and will be hosted by Berry College in Mount Berry, Ga., Feb. 26-28.
