Bailess will take over as Principal at RCEC; Goodwin will serve as Principal at Bowmar

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Kelda Bailess and Dr. Candice Goodwin will take on new principal roles within the Vicksburg Warren School District beginning in the 2026-27 school year.

The Vicksburg Warren School District Board of Trustees approved the changes Friday.

Bailess will serve as head principal at River City Early College, while Goodwin will become head principal at Bowmar Elementary School.

Both currently serve as assistant principals at Warren Central High School.

The district also announced additional administrative changes for the upcoming school year.

Jason Bennett and Dr. Tantaneshia Houston will serve as administrators at Warren Central High School, while Drew Rainer will continue serving as head principal.

At Vicksburg Intermediate School, Dr. Kenitra Ezi will serve as an administrator, and Lakesha Batty will continue as head principal.
