The teachers of the Exceptional Education Department at Warrenton Elementary School reached out to thank Mayor Willis Thompson, Alderman TJ Mayfield and Alderwoman Vicki Bailey for their visits, participation and support of the students in the program.

Each of the city leaders were presented with a special collage of photos featuring them on visits with the children over the past school year.

Vicksburg Police Department were also thanked for their visit and support of the students.

Captain Curtis Judge and VPD Chief Larry Burns were on hand to accept the special collages.

“It is our goal that these children learn to not fear cops but will learn to trust that we are there to help if they need it,” said Chief Burns. “As long as I am Chief we will continue to be involved in these programs.”

Burns stated after the presentation that he had plans to hang the collage in his office.
