Arrionna Jenkins signs track and field scholarship with Belhaven University

Arrionna Jenkins has signed a track and field scholarship with Belhaven University, continuing her athletic career after graduating from Warren Central High School.

The announcement was shared recently on Belhaven’s Instagram page, welcoming Jenkins to the Blazers’ track and field program.

Jenkins capped off her senior season by winning the Class 6A state championship in the discus in May with a throw of 113 feet, 0 inches. She also finished as the state runner-up in the shot put.

A month earlier, Jenkins swept the North State championships, earning titles in both the shot put and discus.

At Warren Central, Jenkins competed under head coach Heather Casey. She will continue her collegiate career under Belhaven head coach Butch Ard.
