Accident with Fuel Spill on 61 at North Washington

Just after 8 a.m. an 18-wheeler made contact with another 18-wheeler on 61 North in front of Country Junction.

There are injuries reported in the accident and a fuel spill from the 18-wheeler. The fuel is spilling from the tractor’s fuel tank and not from a trailer. MDEQ and MEMA have been dispatched to the scene to assist with the clean up.

Units are expected to be at the accident scene for some time, use caution if you are in the area.
