Bond set for drive-by-shooting suspect

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — A drive-by shooting suspect made his appearance in court on Monday from an incident that occurred earlier this month.
On Monday, September 8, 2025, at approximately 1900 hours, Officers with the Vicksburg Police Department responded to the 900 block of Locust Street, Vicksburg Mississippi in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival Officers were advised of a verbal altercation amongst a group young males and females. Alvin Truitt and Chauncey Walker fired shots at individuals as they left the area.
On Friday, September 19, 2025, Walker was arrested by Copiah County Sheriff Department.
On Monday September 22, 2025, Walker appeared before Judge Angela Carpenter for his initial appearance on the charge of Drive by Shooting. Walker’s bond was set at one hundred thousand dollars.
