Captain Josh Gordon honored by ERDC for response to last nights fire
Vicksburg Fire Department Captain Josh Gordon was honored by Colonel Patterson on behalf of ERDC for his response to last night’s fire.
Captain Gordon, who has been serving with the department for 11 years, was one of the first responders to the ERDC fire. Despite the heavy smoke, he worked to identify the source of the fire. According to Vicksburg Fire Chief Derrick Stamps, “Captain Gordon was assigned to E2 (Engine 2) and after all crews thoroughly searched for the cause of the smoke within the building. Captain Gordon was the one to find the source.”
In recognition of his outstanding work, Colonel Patterson presented the “Commander’s Coin” earlier today on behalf of ERDC.
