VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The City of Vicksburg has announced the official trick-or-treating hours for Halloween night.
On Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026, the official “witching” hours for ghosts and goblins to raid the porches of neighborhoods is set for 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Vicksburg Mayor Willis Thompson also released a set of safety reminders for kiddos and parents.
Groups are encouraged bring a flashlight, stay visible, and watch for traffic. Conditions Saturday evening may include rain so an umbrella might be useful. Children should be accompanied by an adult or in a group. Always check treats before allowing children to eat them. Drivers should use caution to avoid hitting pedestrians.
Additional officers from the Vicksburg Police Department and deputies from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office will be on hand all throughout the community to make sure children are safe while still enjoying the fun.
