The Vicksburg Police Department has arrested one man for rape charges.

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Vicksburg Police Department has arrested one man for rape charges.
VPD identified Demond Lashon Cage, 51, of Vicksburg as being arrested for charges of rape against an adult female.
Cage was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 9 and charged with assault with intended rape. He appeared in Vicksburg Municipal Court where he received a $20,000 bond.
The case remains under investigation by VPD.
