Delta Sigma Theta Sorority announces Meet the Candidates Forum

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — A Meet the Candidates forum has been announced for Thursday, Oct. 29 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Warren County Courthouse Circuit Courtroom, located at 1009 Cherry Street, Vicksburg, Miss.

Members of the Vicksburg Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., have partnered with the First Mississippi Chapter of Blacks In Government; the Vicksburg Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP); the Medgar and Angela Scott Foundation; Omicron Rho Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.; Mu Xi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and Les Soeurs Charmantes Social and Civic Club to host a Meet the Candidates Forum.

This forum will provide the opportunity for voters to get to know the candidates and provide an opportunity for the candidates to get their message to voters.

All candidates for United States Senate and House of Representatives; Mississippi Court of Appeals; Mississippi Chancery Court Judge and Circuit Court Judge; and Warren County Justice Court Judge – Central District, County Court Judge, School Board Districts 3 and 4, and Warren County Election Commission District 1 whose names will appear on the November 3rd General Election ballot in Warren County have been invited to participate.
