Dr. Danielle Nelson joins Merit Health River Region Pediatric Clinic

Merit Health River Region has welcomed Dr. Danielle S. Nelson to its Pediatric Clinic, where she is now accepting new patients.

Nelson provides pediatric care for children from birth through age 18, focusing on compassionate, personalized treatment and supporting families throughout each stage of a child’s growth and development.

Nelson takes a family-centered approach to care, working with parents and caregivers to promote healthy development, address health concerns and provide guidance throughout childhood and adolescence. She strives to create a welcoming environment where patients and their families feel comfortable, heard and supported.

Her care includes routine pediatric services, treatment of illnesses and assistance for families navigating their children’s changing health care needs. Nelson also emphasizes listening to families, answering questions and helping parents make informed decisions about their children’s health.

Nelson attended the University of Medicine and Health Sciences in St. Kitts. Her credentials and certifications include a Mississippi medical license, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and S.T.A.B.L.E.
