Dream Girls Movie Festival happening Saturday

The countdown has begun for an evening of entertainment, community, and charitable giving as the P.D. Jones Foundation presents the 2nd annual Dream Girls in the Park Movie Festival. Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 4, 2024, as downtown Vicksburg’s Washington Street Park transforms into a hub of excitement and celebration.

Beginning at 4:00 PM, attendees will be treated to a lineup of live performances, delicious food, and vibrant vendor booths, all set against the picturesque backdrop of the Lower Mississippi Historic Scenic Byway. R&B artist Krista Overby will grace the main stage with her soulful melodies, while DJ CountryQue keeps the crowd energized and engaged throughout the evening.

The highlight of the event will be the presentation of scholarships to four deserving high school seniors, two from the Vicksburg Warren School District and two from the Jackson Public School District. These scholarships, made possible by the proceeds from the Dream Girls in the Park Movie Festival, aim to support students in their pursuit of higher education and honor the legacy of Dr. Pamela D. Jones.
