Drummond Street bridge closed

The bridge on Drummond between Belmont and Pine is closed until further notice.

The Vicksburg Street Department has closed the bridge for repairs. Over the past week, a gap and bump had appeared on the northern part of the roadway. A caution sign was put there and early today the city made the decision to close the bridge entirely while they make repairs.

There is no word on how long the repairs will take, what they will encompass or what they will cost.
