Everyone Safe After Smoke Fills Bovina Classroom
BOVINA, Miss. – Smoke filled a classroom at Bovina Elementary School this morning.
Just after 10:30 a.m., Warren County Firefighters responded to a reported structure fire at the elementary school. When units arrived, they discovered smoke in two classrooms.
According to Marquis Holmes with the Warren County Fire Service, “A heater was being worked on and smoke up two rooms. All kids are safe and there is no active fire. We are currently on scene ventilating the affected rooms.”
The Warren County Fire Service is an all-volunteer group of community members. They regularly meet to train and are certified over time as qualified firefighters and first responders. They answer hundreds of calls of a year.
