Two citywide revival efforts—Jackson for Jesus and the Kingdom Community Partners Vicksburg Citywide Revival—will bring people together across churches, ministries, and community organizations to pray for changed hearts, stronger families, healthier communities, and spiritual renewal throughout the region.

Jackson for Jesus Tent Revival

Luther Martin Ministries, in partnership with the Jackson District Missionary Baptist Association, led by Moderator Dr. Willie Tobias, will host the Jackson for Jesus Tent Revival September 13–16 at the Mississippi State Fairgrounds, beginning at 7:00 p.m. nightly.

The revival will feature:

  • Evangelist Luther Martin
  • Reverend Vincent Russell of Greater Fairview
  • Reverend Dr. Reginal Buckley, Senior Pastor of Cade Chapel
  • Reverend Chancy Jordan Sr. of College Hill
  • Reverend Jeffrey Stafford of Mt. Calvary Church

The Jackson revival is built around the biblical call found in 2 Chronicles 7:14, which calls God’s people to humble themselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from their ways.

Organizers say the focus is not simply on holding revival services, but on seeking God for real change in the hearts of people and throughout the community.

Kingdom Community Partners Vicksburg Citywide Revival

In Vicksburg, Kingdom Community Partners will host a citywide revival on September 13, 20, and 27 at 5:00 p.m. at Vicksburg Washington Street Park.

The Vicksburg revival will bring together various ministries and community partners in an effort to connect spiritual renewal with practical community support.

In addition to prayer and worship, the gathering will feature an interfaith choir, as well as access to mental health resources, food, and mentorship opportunities.

Organizers emphasize that the vision is to minister to the whole community.

“Revival should reach beyond the church building,” organizers say. “We want to pray for our community, but we also want to stand with our community. When people have practical needs, we want to help connect them with resources and people who can walk alongside them.”

A Call for Unity

At the center of both revival efforts is the message of unity.

The organizers believe that churches, ministries, faith communities, and community organizations can work together while maintaining their individual identities and traditions.

The goal is to find common ground in a shared commitment to prayer, service, hope, and the well-being of the community.

“We believe God is doing something in this region,” organizers say. “We believe He is bringing people together for a purpose. We are praying for change—not just around us, but within us. We believe that when hearts are changed, families can be strengthened, communities can be renewed, and a region can be transformed.”

Prayer and Action

The revival organizers also stress that prayer and action should go hand in hand.

The gatherings will provide opportunities for people to worship and pray while also connecting with resources and relationships that can help address practical needs.

The Vicksburg gathering’s focus on mental health resources, food, mentorship, and community fellowship reflects a broader vision of revival that reaches into everyday life.

Everyone Is Invited

The public is invited to participate in these gatherings.

People are encouraged to attend regardless of church affiliation or background and to come ready to pray, worship, connect with others, and believe for positive change in their communities.

The organizers are inviting churches, pastors, ministries, community organizations, families, young people, and residents throughout the region to participate.
