Jamison Kelly, Jr., a former football player for Indiana University, has been denied bail in connection with the fatal shooting of Jaylen Burns, a student from Jackson State University, WLBT reports.

Hinds County Court Judge Johnnie McDaniels ordered Kelly to remain in the Raymond Detention Center until his preliminary hearing, citing concerns that he might flee.

Kelly, 21, faces charges as an accessory after the fact to Burns’ murder. Court documents allege that Kelly acted as the getaway driver for Joshua Brown, who is suspected of carrying out the shooting. A warrant for Kelly’s arrest was issued on Oct. 18, and he was taken into custody on Friday.

The arrest was a coordinated effort involving multiple law enforcement agencies.
