Grand Gulf donates $2100 to Salvation Army Angel Tree program

Grand Gulf Nuclear Station employees donated $2,100 to the Salvation Army for their Operation Angel Tree program on Tuesday.

This money will help the Salvation Army purchase gifts for 21 people this holiday season. In addition, Grand Gulf employees sponsored 75 people to buy gifts for this Christmas.

“I am so proud to be part of a team that wants to give back,” said Grand Gulf Site Vice President Brad Kapellas. “Thanks to our employees continued generosity, kids will have a gift under the tree this year.”

Money from this donation was raised during the Grand Gulf charity golf tournament in June. Winners of the golf tournament got to choose which organization to donate to. Earlier this year, $2,100 was donated to Wounded Warriors.
