A Warren County family is out in the cold after a fire claimed their single-family structure on Fisher Ferry.

At around 8:30 p.m., numerous reports were called to Vicksburg Warren 911 describing a fire at 5871 Fisher Ferry. The callers reported smoke and flames were burning through the structure.

The first responder on scene was Fisher Ferry Fire Chief Mitch Lange who confirmed smoke and flames. Engine 302 from Fisher Ferry with Neal Pryor and Brandon Daffron on board arrived next and deployed a line to begin the attack on the fire. They went after the left side of the structure and were able to stop the fire from spreading and get it under control. The Warren County firefighters were then able to knock down all the flames and contain the fire to that part of the structure, a bedroom.

Engine 303 from Fisher Ferry and 602 from LeTourneau also responded to the fire along with Warren County Sheriff’s Deputy Hunter Anderson. Numerous Warren County firefighters from several departments all over the county responded to the call to assist their neighbors, including Hunter Ivey along with Amanda and Steve Cunningham.

Entergy was called to the scene to disconnect the power supply because of the heavy damage to the bedroom portion of the trailer. A burned or bare wire could spark another fire. That along with smoke damage will prevent the family from staying in the trailer until repairs are made.
