Donnell Rose elected Tallulah Police Chief

TALLULAH , La. (VDN) — Donnell Rose has been elected as the next police chief of Tallulah after defeating incumbent Buster McCoy in Saturday’s election.
According to unofficial results, Rose received approximately 62.57% of the vote while McCoy finished with 37.43%.
Rose’s victory highlighted a busy election night in Tallulah that also featured multiple city races.
In the mayoral race, Yvonne Lewis and Gloria Owens Hayden advanced to the June 27 runoff election.
Several council seats were also decided Saturday night. Sharon Jackson won the District 4 Tallulah Council seat, Tommy Watson Sr. claimed the District 3 seat, and Rhondie Morris Sr. secured the District 2 seat.
