Briggs Hopson named to Mississippi Top 100 Class of 2026

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Briggs Hopson, a state senator from Vicksburg, has been selected to the 2026 Class of the Mississippi Top 100. Hopson was officially announced earlier this week in a Facebook post by the Mississippi Top 100 organization.

In addition to serving as a state senator, Hopson is an attorney who represents several governmental entities, including school districts and hospitals, as well as businesses throughout the region. His legal work includes insurance defense, administrative law, education law, health care law and other matters.

Hopson currently serves in the Mississippi Senate representing Warren, Issaquena and Yazoo counties. He is also a former president of the Mississippi Bar and has earned recognition for his leadership and legal expertise throughout the state.
