Extra Table FEEDS to hold event in Vicksburg

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) —  Extra Table FEEDS will host Extra Royale, a tropical-inspired culinary event on Sunday, June 14, offering guests an immersive food, floral, and cocktail experience in support of hunger relief efforts across Mississippi.

Set at the historic Oak Hall Bed & Breakfast, the event will transform the space into a multi-room tasting experience, where each area features a distinct menu and curated cocktail pairing. 

The menu, created by Vicksburg native and Chef de Cuisine William Furlong, will highlight bold, tropical influences with an emphasis on fresh ingredients, layered flavors, and creative presentation. Guests can expect a range of elevated hors d’oeuvres, including seafood selections, savory small plates, and globally inspired bites designed to complement signature cocktails served throughout the evening.

A steel drum musician will enhance the island-inspired setting, alongside lush florals created by local florist and art that encourage guests to relax, explore, and engage with the experience.

“Think art, food, flowers, music, cocktails and cabanas! Extra Royale is designed to be interactive, energetic, and memorable—while ultimately helping us provide more meals to food pantries across Mississippi,” says Extra Table FEEDS executive director Martha Allen Price. 

Proceeds from Extra Royale will benefit Extra Table FEEDS, a Mississippi-based nonprofit that purchases and distributes healthy, shelf-stable food to food pantries and soup kitchens throughout the state at no cost to those organizations. Extra Table FEEDS delivers food for free monthly to the Vicksburg food pantry, Storehouse Community Food Pantry.

Tickets for the event are limited to 100 guests and are expected to sell out.

Extra Royale will take place from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, in Vicksburg.
