The Mississippi School for the Blind was established in 1848 by the Mississippi State Legislature to provide educational and residential services to students across Mississipi who are visually impaired. Known for promoting justice to underserved and minority communities, Mayor Flaggs led the procession with pride and enthusiasm, symbolizing the unity between the City of Vicksburg and the Mississippi School for the Blind.
