VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — As Election Day approaches, Mayor George Flaggs, Jr. is inviting the public to his final campaign event – a free Community Cookout featuring food, fun, and live entertainment. The event will take place Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.at the City Park Pavilion, 100 Army Navy Drive.

With only a few days left until voters head to the polls on June 3, this cookout offers residents an opportunity to gather in unity, enjoy great food, and celebrate the progress Vicksburg has made under Mayor Flaggs’ leadership. Special musical guests Tre Williams and Terrell Davis will perform, with additional entertainment provided by DJ KG.

“This campaign has always been about the people,” said Mayor Flaggs. “We’ve accomplished a lot together, and this event is a way to say thank you to the community for your continued support and belief in Vicksburg’s future.”

Attendees are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and enjoy the evening of free food, fellowship, and music. The event is free and open to the public.

Mayor Flaggs, who is seeking re-election in the June 3 General Election, continues to run on a platform of honesty, commitment, and experience. His campaign has emphasized public safety, economic development, infrastructure improvements, and strengthening partnerships at every level of government.

This Community Cookout is paid for by the Committee to Re-Elect Mayor George Flaggs, Jr.
