McSherry and Larson named Female and Male Athletes of the Year for St. Aloysius

Luke Larson and Maddy McSherry have been named St. Aloysius Male and Female Athletes of the Year.

Larson:

Larson, who is a captain of the swim team, won the De’Michael Harris Award at the school’s athletic banquet last week. In the Fall, Larson helped the Flashes win a state championship in the 400-yard freestyle and runner-ups in the 200-yard individual medley while winning the Heart of a Champion Award.

Larson is also a member of the Purple Pride Band.

McSherry:

McSherry, who is a captain on the softball, basketball, and volleyball teams, won the Lauren Hall Award last week. She helped the Lady Flashes’ softball team to their first winning season in ten years. She also racked up awards such as the Best Soccer Defender, Coach Howard Park Award, and the Volleyball MVP Award.
