Multiple units respond to fire call at ERDC

Update – 7:04 a.m. – Chief Derrick Stamps says units responded to a report of a structure fire at ERDC. “Upon arrival, the structure was filled with smoke,  and the members investigated to find an equipment appliance overheated, causing damage to the counter and some other equipment in the surrounding area. However, there is minimal damage to the structure.”

Multiple Vicksburg Fire Department units are responding to a structure fire call at ERDC.

Just before 10 p.m. a report of a structure fire was called in to Vicksburg Warren 911. Units were dispatched to ERDC and told to enter the main gate on Halls Ferry. Those units were then directed to a building inside the compound.
