VICKSBURG, Miss. – The recent proposed increase to rental rates for the City Pavilion and The Ardis T. Williams Auditorium, made in an announcement last week by Mayor Flaggs will be an increase of between $100 and $250.

The proposed rental fee for the City Pavilion is $200, a 100% increase in rental rate from the current $100. For the city auditorium prices, the mayor stated that “School, Government, Fundraisers, Church Events, and Funeral Services only went up $100. Everything else went up between $100-$250 depending on the size of the event.”

On top of the rental fee, a $100 deposit is required, as well as insurance and security.

The Vicksburg Daily News reached out to the Mayor via email on Monday, August 25 at 10:35 a.m. inquiring specifically about the doubling of the Pavilion rental price, as of the time of this writing, the mayor has not responded.
