Run thru history set at VNMP this Saturday

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — One of Vicksburg’s most beloved traditions is right around the corner! The 47th Annual Run Thru History returns to Vicksburg National Military Park on Saturday, March 7, 2026. This unique event blends
community spirit with historical exploration, a run (or walk!) through the hallowed ground where history was made.

Event Highlights:
10K Run – 8:00 a.m. — Experience a scenic course through the
park’s rolling hills and historic sites.
5K Walk – 8:05 a.m. — Perfect for walkers of all levels.
Cannonball 1-Mile Fun Run – 9:30 a.m. — A family-friendly distance
for kids and first timers alike.
Awards Ceremony – ~10:30 a.m. — Celebrate your finish with friends,
family, and fellow history lovers.
