Run thru History’s 5K winners announced

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) —The 47th Annual Run Thru History was held at Vicksburg National Military Park on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Included as part of the event was a 5K walk/run featuring 209 participants. 

The top three overall leaders of the pack were Ron Roma, 72; Terrie Foster, 40; and Lee Fore, 46.

Roma placed first with a pace of 10:36 and a track time of 32:58. Foster’s second place time was 34:15 with a pace of 11:01. Fore came in third with a pace of 11:13 and a gun time of 34:54.

Top male finishers were Roma, Fore and coming in third for men was Jonathan Boone, 44, with a pace of 11:39 and a total time of 36:15.

Female leaders were Foster placing first followed by Ella Kate Boone, 18, with a time of 35:25 and pace of 11:23. Amelia Jo Boone, 11, came in third for the ladies with a pace of 11:26 and a total time of 35:34.
