Rusty’s takes People’s Choice again

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Rusty’s Riverfront Grill won the People’s Choice and Best Seafood Gumbo at Vicksburg’s Carnival de Mardi Gras & Gumbo Cook-off at the Southern Cultural Heritage Center.

A large crowd gathered for the event, with several competitors and a live band on stage, singing oldies. Teams competed for the title of Best Seafood Gumbo, Best Non-Seafood Gumbo, Best Decorated Booth, Most Spirited Team, and the coveted People’s Choice. Funds raised from entry fees and donor support programs at the SCHC.

Congratulations to all the winners. Here they are, starting with the People’s Choice and Best Seafood, Rusty’s.

Second Place in Seafood Gumbo was won by Golding Barge Lines, Roux Your Daddy.

3rd place in Seafood Gumbo was Riverwalk.

In Non-Seafood Gumbo, the winner was CenterWell Home Health, the Roux-susitators.

2nd place went to Golding Barge Line’s Bayou Brew Crew.

3rd place winner is the Krazy Krewe da Roux.

The Best Decorated Booth went to the team at CenterWell Home Health, the Roux-susitators.

The Award for the Most Spirited Team went to Golding Barge Line’s Bayou Brew Crew.
