Six injured in Fisher Ferry crash including three children

Six people were injured in a collision on Fisher Ferry at Goodrum.

Just before 4 p.m. a maroon pickup truck and a sedan collided on Fisher Ferry at Goodrum. The truck was northbound on Fisher Ferry and hit the passenger side of the sedan, knocking it into the ditch. The truck was perched on the cusp with two wheels off the ground.

The five people in the truck, three children and two adults were unable to get out of the vehicle because of its precarious position.

WC-30 Johnny Beauchamp drove up on the accident seconds after it happened. Beauchamp was able to attach his winch to the truck to stop it from further danger.

Two adults were transported to an area hospital with non- life- threatening injures. All three children left with family members.

Numerous County fire fighters responded to the scene including Fisher Ferry Chief Mitch Lange, Tim Wood, Marquis Holmes and Steve Cunningham. Rescue, two fire medic units and Sheriff Pace along with investigator Erich Jerscheid were also at the accident.
