Taco Casa is open for business

Taco Casa on Pemberton is open for business after a car hit a gas line last night.

Taco Casa on Pemberton reopened last night after an accident forced the store to close. Just before 6 p.m., units were dispatched to the location on Pemberton after a car reportedly hit a gas line. This caused gas to leak into the open air. The manager of the location immediately closed the operation and safely evacuated guests and employees. Numerous units with the Vicksburg Police Department along with 2 units from the fire department responded to the call.

A live report by the Vicksburg Daily News showed gas department employees near the leak.

Store owner, Regan Nosser spoke with the Vicksburg Daily News and reported a plumber was en route to repair the damaged gas line. About an hour later Taco Casa posted on their social media that they were open for drive-thru only.

Taco Casa will be operating the drive-thru today starting at 10:30. The dining room will be open later today.
