Arden Home Health and Hospice celebrates Grand Opening of Vicksburg branch
Arden Home Health and Hospice has opened a branch in Vicksburg to facilitate ease for local patients and families.
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Arden Home Health and Hospice held a ribbon-cutting and open house to mark the grand opening of its new Vicksburg hospice branch at 1650 US 61, Suite D. The new branch expands Arden’s established home health presence in Vicksburg, adding hospice services for patients and families in Claiborne, Jefferson, Warren, Yazoo, Holmes, Humphreys, Sharkey, and Issaquena counties. By reallocating portions of the Ridgeland and Brookhaven service areas, Arden can now offer more focused support, build stronger local relationships, and provide more accessible, responsive care to these communities.
Prior to this expansion, families in these communities were forced to travel significant distances for advanced hospice care. Arden’s Vicksburg hospice branch addresses this need by bringing hospital-level, AHA-certified care, clinical coordination, and compassionate support to these families’ doorstep.
“Opening this Vicksburg branch allows Arden to serve these families with greater presence and purpose,” said Abb Payne, CEO of Arden Home Health and Hospice. “When someone is facing a serious illness, recovering from a health event, or making difficult decisions about care, distance should not stand in the way of support. Our goal is to bring trusted, high-quality care into the home, where patients feel known, comfortable, and supported.”
To support this expansion, Arden has invested in its Vicksburg hospice team by adding Dr. Samuel Pierce, effective April 1, and Dr. Jonathon Flowers, effective May 1, as Interdisciplinary Group physicians. They will manage and oversee patient care teams, strengthening Arden’s clinical presence and support for patients and referral partners in the region.
“Arden has always believed that top-tier, home health and hospice care should feel personal, steady, and deeply connected to the communities we serve,” said Payne. “This new branch reflects that belief. It gives our team the opportunity to walk more closely with families across these communities, offering the kind of support that helps them feel less alone during some of life’s most important moments.”
