Six Shooting Incidents in Vicksburg/Warren County Since Sunday
VICKSBURG, MS – At just before 12 p.m. today shots fired were reported at Letitia and Speed. This is the same area where reports of shots fired occurred Sunday. This is one of six shooting incidents since Sunday evening.
Officer Curtis Judge of the Vicksburg Police Department acknowledged on the scene that a vehicle which initially was believed to have been damaged in today’s shooting, was damaged in Sunday’s incident.
Police Chief Penny Jones has confirmed with the Vicksburg Daily News that there is one injury related to this incident.
Two separate reports of shots fired were also reported last night in the county. One near Azalea Trace and another report off Highway 80 which deputies were unable to confirm.
No arrests have been made regarding today’s shooting at this time. Three arrests were made at the scene of the Warrenton Road shooting on early Monday morning.
