Thomas & Thomas Security named 2025 Business of the Year by Vicksburg Homecoming Benevolent Club

VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN)—The Vicksburg Homecoming Benevolent Club has named Thomas & Thomas Security as the 2025 Business of the Year. The well-known security company was recognized Saturday night at the annual event celebrating the club’s 50th anniversary, held at the Vicksburg Convention Center.

Trent Thomas, owner of Thomas & Thomas Security, accepted the award on behalf of himself and his staff, who have done an impressive job keeping citizens safe at events throughout Warren County.

Thomas delivered a speech in which he thanked Vicksburg for trusting and believing in his dream of becoming a business owner. Thomas & Thomas Security also works closely with the Vicksburg-Warren School District in efforts to keep students, staff and the public safe.

In addition to being a respected businessman, Thomas is known for his commitment to the community and to youth, sponsoring many local organizations. He also provided 24 gifts for this year’s scholarship recipients.

Due to their dedication and commitment, Thomas & Thomas Security is well deserving of this recognition.

This award is presented each year to a business that goes beyond its day-to-day operations to make outstanding contributions toward the betterment of the community and the well-being of its citizens. Among the club’s goals are encouraging Vicksburg natives to return home annually, assisting the less fortunate, awarding scholarships to deserving students and inspiring others to establish businesses in the community.

Trenton A. Thomas is a proud Vicksburg native who has always had a heart for his hometown. A 2008 graduate of Warren Central High School, he continued his education at Hinds Community College and chose to remain in Vicksburg to give back to the community that raised him.
