VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Three 18-wheelers, including a cattle hauler, have wrecked on I-20 at the Washington Street exit.

The accident happened just before 4 p.m. in the westbound lane of I-20 just before the Washington Street exit. A red flat bed was jack-knifed and appears to have been impacted by a yellow cattle hauler. A white 18-wheeler behind the cattle hauler appears to have run into the back of the cattle hauler.

There are no reported injuries in the accident, including to the cattle. Traffic on I-20 has already backed up past Indiana Avenue. It will take several hours for the wreckage to be cleared. You should anticipate long delays if you are on I-20 westbound to Louisiana. Locals wanting to travel west on the interstate are advised to enter the roadway at Washington Street.

Traffic 3, Michael Battle, is working the accident scene for the Vicksburg Police Department. Units with the Vicksburg Fire Department are at the accident scene assisting with toxic spills leaking from one of the vehicles. Iowa Boulevard below I-20 at the overpass also has a VFD unit there helping to contain toxic fluids that have spilled into the area.

The Vicksburg Daily News will update this story as more information is made available.
