White leads in governor campaign cash
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — For the second year in a row, State Auditor Shad White leads all potential competitors for governor in campaign cash as Mississippi’s statewide elections approach next year. White showed $3.802 Million in his campaign account according to annual campaign finance reports released Friday.
“Our donors this year included a speech pathologist, construction worker, secretary, and so many other hardworking Mississippi taxpayers who are ready for a pro-Trump governor who is relentlessly focused on cutting fat and fraud from government and ushering in our bright future,” said White.
In 2025, 98% of White’s donations came from Mississippians. “When a Mississippian donates to you, they will tell their family, friends, and fellow churchgoers about you,” said White. “It means votes. That’s what’s powering this campaign, not the political establishment.”
The next Mississippi campaign finance reports will be due in early 2027.
Cash-on-hand summary as of January 2026:
1. State Auditor White – $3.8 million
2. Attorney General – $3.5 million
3. Lt. Gov. – $2.8 million
4. Agriculture Commissioner – $255K
